What does a day in our classroom look like?

  • Arrival: Say goodbye to grown-up at drop-off, free choice of activities/play, meet and greet friends
  • Clean-up: Lucky Duck rings the clean-up charms and a light clean of the room is done together before gathering for circle time.
  • Meeting and Circle Time: story, and meeting time to allow the students to experience sharing space, listening and daily plans.
  • Snack Time: Students get their snacks from their backpacks and gather together to eat and chit chat with one another
  • Activity/Art time: All centres are back open for work and exploration, while groups of students work with teacher/parent on current projects and artwork
  • Clean-up: Lucky Duck rings the clean-up charms, and a full tidy of the classroom is done as a team
  • Circle Time: Children engage in a variety of music activities, songs, and stories. Some days we will use this time for outdoor activities (ex: going to the Trico playground just across the street). Lucky Duck shares their show-and-tell item with the class.
  • Dismissal: students take off their indoor shoes, gather their belongings, and are released to their grown-up.
